Whether it's Transpersonal Hypnotherapy or Wellness Guidance, every client is treated as an invidividual, and each session is customized based on our interaction. For hypnotherapy, this dialogue will reveal a target issue, a goal or intention, and will inform the hypnotic suggestions. As your wellness guide I will provide deep listening in a compassionate, non-judgemental environment, and offer my knowledge base to inspire your transformation.
Hypnotherapy is the process of utilizing the tool of hypnosis in a therapeutic session. My practice is based on the transpersonal hypnotherapy model, which is a client-driven gentle and titrated method for examining the root causes of problems, applying behavior and thought modifications to change habits, focusing on the interconnection between mind, body, and spirit. It is not necessary for a client to be re-traumatized in order to heal.
All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. The altered state of consciousness is similar to something you experience twice a day when waking up and falling asleep. You may also have become entranced while driving, watching a favorite TV show or movie, engrossed in a good book or other activity.
It's a process where you are encouraged to relax deeply while maintaining focused concentration on the suggestions provided to your subconscious mind based on the goal you have outlined. When you are in this state your subconscious mind is very receptive to these suggestions and that is when transformation can occur. You can stop the process whenever you wish.
Hypnotherapy is a brief therapy, but the results are long lasting.
Being hypnotized can be described as feeling extremely calm, in a deeply physically and mentally relaxed state. In this state, we are able to experience focused concentration, and create change at the unconscious level where all memory, knowledge and wisdom are stored.
My degree in psychology, experience in counseling as an audiologist, Reiki and Transpersonal Hypnotherapy certifications, as well as additional training in embodiment, somatic healing methods, and brain neuroplasticity, paired with the many tools that I discovered and utilized during my recovery process from chronic illness, have all provided me with knowledge and insight to offer guidance and practical support for your healing experience.
Through deep listening and application of various modalities, including boundary setting, stress and anxiety reduction, breathing, posture, movement, sleep practices, relaxation and other important strategies, I will guide you in learning how to affect the autonomic nervous system, shifting toward parasympathetic activity.
